I decided a couple of days prior to a newborn session that I wanted a ‘log’ bed prop. I knew I had some small logs already cut up as decoration on the front porch. All I needed to do was drill a couple of holes and screw it together, right? Yeah, right.
I am constantly coming up with these hair brained ideas, fully expecting to be able to handle them on my own, but failing. You’d think I’d learn right? Nope. Not me. Poor Jason is constantly bailing me out of these predicaments. This one was no different.
I ended up needing to purchase longer screws, which proved to be a challenge and needed to use a power tool. Now normally I love me some power tools, however, our power drill is out of commission due to a bad battery and we haven’t had a chance to replace it. That left the good old trusty electric drill. Keep in mind, this is a drill, not a drill/power screwdriver.
There was no way this was going to happen if I was going to be the one behind the power. I just couldn’t. No worries. My precious husband asked me several times if I needed help, but I just didn’t want this to become his project again. I finally caved, and let him finish so I would have the bed for my sweet newborn session the next day. He did a great job, didn’t he?
