Gender identification. What can I say without starting some sort of controversy? I think we as a country have found an easy way out of sticky situations by simply slapping a label on it.
I want to share my thoughts on this topic….only I’m addressing something a little more risque. Bell pepper gender identification. According to an article published on POPSUGAR, bell peppers have ‘gender’ based on the lower lobes. Three lobes are considered male and four are considered female. Supposedly, the female peppers tend to have more seeds producing a sweeter tasting pepper perfect for snacking and the male peppers are better suited to cooking.
Well, I have a serious question….how do you think this one identifies….#firstworldproblems?
Beleive it or not, there actually is not ‘gender’ for bell peppers. Gardening Know How explains that the plant is asexual therefore the fruit is as well.
